Our Gulf Coast winner, Gabriel Natal-Báez, just won the $20,000 Laffont Prize!
Mr. Natal-Báez is a baritone and the winner of the Puerto Rico District. He was one of six National Winners from today’s Grand Finals Competition.

Mr. Natal-Báez has advanced through the semi final round of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in New York City, New York. He will now compete in the finals.

The Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition is designed to discover promising young opera singers and assist in the development of their careers.
This is sponsored by hundreds of donors and volunteers from across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

AMICI Membership and Events
We are volunteers who run the auditions in New Orleans for the District and Gulf Coast Region. Members meet the singers and judges. We are a 501(c) non-profit and raise 100% of the funds to hold the competitions and award prize money.
