AMICI Yearly Meeting and Musicale

We will gather to discuss our District and Region Met Laffont Competition schedule and review volunteer opportunities, followed by a vocal concert.

Soloists: Faith Adams, Connor Galle, and Elizabeth Peters.

Pianist: Dr. Brandon Banks

Faith Adams is a New Orleans-based soprano who is obtaining her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Loyola University New Orleans. She graduated with her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from TCU in December 2023. a current pupil of Irini Kyriakidou Hymel at Loyola University New Orleans as she works toward her Master of Music in Vocal Performance. She was recently heard in the role of Susannah in celebration of composer Carlisle Floyd's 100th Birthday for Loyola Opera Theatre's 2026 production of Susannah.

Conner Galle 2025-2026- Gulf Coast Region Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Audience Choice - Fan Favorite Award and a winner New Orleans District 2025-2026. A Mississippi native, he is s currently a student at Loyola University studying with Irini Kyriakidou Hymel. He graduated from St. Patrick High School in Biloxi, MS in 2023. He received a Scholarship Award in 2023 from The Junior Philharmonic Society of New Orleans and is a two-time consecutive winner of the Glenn Drapper Award. He recently appeared in composer Carlisle Floyd's 100th Birthday for Loyola Opera Theatre's 2026 production of Susannah.

Elizabeth Peters is a graduate Student and Loyola University and most recently in the chorus of NOOA's productions of Dialogues of the Carmelites and Elixir of Love.

Dr. Brandon Banks has his doctoral degree in Piano Performance, with a concentration in Collaborative Piano. He is a noted Hindemith scholar and is currently recording all of the works written for piano. He has compiled his first IPA transcription of Hindemith’s Sancta Susanna and will continue transcribing all of the vocal literature. His doctoral treatise focused on Hindemith’s song cycle Das Marienleben and is titled “Uncovering Word Painting and Motivic Structures within Paul Hindemith’s Das Marienleben.” He is a member of the music honor society Pi Kappa Lamda and a certified educator in the state of North Carolina. He currently serves as music director for the summer camp Belvoir Terrace in Massachusetts and as a staff pianist for Loyola University in New Orleans.
