Joseph's research on 19th century New Orleans free classical and operatic composers of color and Creole history was featured on CBS Saturday Morning News, NBC Nightly News, NPR, and in numerous print magazines.
Deep Dish Listening is a community initiative program that is supported by Bamboula Creative Hub, a part of the Jazz Generations Initiative, New Orleans. This series provides an intimate setting for audiences to engage in deep listening for an entire album. After listening is over, there will be an intergenerational and interdisciplinary dialogue about the album, its connection with the Gulf and Global South and jazz studies.
