SOLD OUT!

The Women’s Guild of the New Orleans Opera is presenting the inaugural recital of a new Salon Series featuring Ashley Milanese.

Ms. Milanese, a New Orleans native, has been lauded as a "soaring lyric soprano capable of heart-stopping soft effects” (Philadelphia Magazine). Ashley has performed both internationally and locally with the New Orleans Opera as the Sandman in Hansel and Gretal, as well as with the Metropolitan Opera, Sarasota Opera, Teatro Regio Torino, Komische Oper Berlin, Opera Philadelphia, Mostly Mozart Festival, Opera San Antonio, Opera in the Heights in Houston, Ljubljana Festival, and the Adelaide Music Festival.

In 2024–2025, Ms. Milanese returned to Sarasota Opera following her acclaimed debut as Lucia di Lammermoor to sing Nedda in I Pagliacci, and joined The Metropolitan Opera to cover Gilda in Rigoletto.

The 2025–2026 season includes her return to Bel Canto Highlands for a concert of opera favorites, Opera San Antonio as Erste Dame in Barrie Kosky’s Die Zauberflöte, and Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra as Serpina in La Serva Padrona. She will then return to Sarasota Opera for her third consecutive season as Mimì in La Bohème and make her Opera Southwest debut as Elcia in Rossini’s Mosè in Egitto.

Refreshments will follow the Guild Home Performance.
